Gina found what she was

inexplicable and unforgettable “high”. One of the most memorable moments of that auspicious weekend was the
demonstration of Vasisthasana by John’s assistants,
Mitchel Bleier and Sianna Sherman. Gina felt fully the embodiment
of freedom that shone through their powerful and masterful expression of that pose. Instantly the longing to know
such ecstatic freedom became the driving force behind her fervent studies and practice. Gina dove into the teachings
of Anusara yoga devotedly from that time on, knowing she would one day become an Anusara yoga teacher. In June
of 2006, in the poignant moment of the Summer Solstice and a glowing full moon, she earned her Anusara yoga
certification. Gina’s ecstatic practice continues to evolve and deepen through Grace and the grace of her teachers.
Gina studies regularly with John and other senior certified Anusara yoga teachers, with notable inspiration from
Desiree Rumbaugh. She has logged over 600 hours of Anusara yoga studies, including over 400 with John Friend, the
founder of Anusara Yoga, including the honor of assisting him in some of his workshops.

Gina’s passion and contagious enthusiasm for the transformational power of the practice has led her to be an inspiring
and lovingly exigent teacher. Her classes are at once playful and philosophical. With dynamic and progressive
sequencing, infused with the bright joy of her heart, Gina constantly invites her students to open to their fullest
possibilities in body, mind and heart. Says Gina, “It is such a delight to share the magical and elegant teachings of
Anusara yoga. What a joy to watch people awaken to their freedom!”

Gina was named a “Lululebrity” in Lululemon’s 2007-08 Yoga Guide to Atlanta, which says "Gina Minyard is the
queen of Anusara yoga in Atlanta. Her passion for and devotion to her practice permeates the studios where she
teaches. She believes in a challenging yet playful and accessible class. With a warm smile, Gina welcomes you to class
and immediately you want to know the freedom she experiences in her practice." Gina has also been a regular
presenter at the annual
Atlanta Yoga Conference. In addition to her weekly classes and private yoga sessions, Gina is
excited and honored to begin offering
Anusara yoga Immersions and national Anusara yoga workshops.

When not on the mat, Gina practices the yoga of raising her beloved son, Daniel, and living consciously and
connected to nature in the urban life of Atlanta. She also serves the worldwide Anusara yoga community through her
work with the Anusara office as an administrative assistant. A world traveler in years past, she holds a degree in
Romance Languages. For more information about Anusara yoga, visit
