Jerry Nelms, RYT, meditation and hatha yoga teacher

Nearly four decades ago, Jerry discovered the magical alchemy that occurs within oneself when the practices of yoga
are applied to everyday living.  Early studies in meditation and hatha yoga led him to teachers like Paramahansa
Yogananda, Meher Baba, BKS Iyengar, Ram Dass and Alan Watts.  Since 1974 the foremost inspirations for Jerry’s path
have been and continue to be the teachings and grace of the Siddha Yoga lineage.  Central to these teachings is the
knowledge and experience of the ever present, conscious joy that is the intimate Self within us and of all creation.
With a heart receptive to the awakening grace and an inner smile of radiant awareness, one recognizes that which has
always been hidden within us and never really lost : deep peace, pure truth, blissful consciousness, supreme beauty.
Suffering ends. Sweet blessings abound.

Along with Yoga Alliance certification as an instructor, Jerry regularly deepens his practice and teaching with Anusara
Yoga workshops, Siddha Yoga meditation retreats and home study courses.  More recently, time well spent with John
Friend has enchanced his love of the yoga path.  Jerry’s teaching includes flow style hatha yoga, meditation and yoga
philosophy.  His favorite yoga practice : sharing the wealth of yoga with others.
